When should I arrive for my rooftop cabin?
Reservations are strongly recommended, so make yours in advance. We ask that guests arrive to The Rooftop at least a few minutes in advance of the time they made their online reservation for. Note, the escalators also take a minute or so from ground floor to rooftop.
To access The Greens use the escalator located on the south side of Pier 17 (opposite Brooklyn Bridge side)
Guests who require special accommodations (ADA) may enter by using the elevators located on the ground floor near the Box Office (West Entrance).
How long may I use a rooftop cabin?
Cabins are reserved in 90-minute increments. If you wish to extend your reservation, you may do so based on availability only. Please inquire with the host when you first check-in.
How many guests can a cabin seat?
Each cabin can seat 2 to 10 guests between banquette seating and chairs.
Note, one reservation secures one full cabin. You will only dine with the guests in your own reservation party.
How big is each cabin?
Each cabin is about 12 ft. x 10 ft., and can occupy maximum of 10 guests.
Are the cabins heated?
While cabins offer heat, The Greens is an outdoor dining concept so please dress accordingly and bring your winter coat.
Guests are able to reschedule or cancel before 72 hours of their made reservation time. Do this within your Tock account.
Once within 72 hours of your reservation all sales are final and non-refundable.

The Rooftop is also home to a row of multiple community cabins on the west side of Pier 17 overlooking the Lower Manhattan skyline. These community cabins—complete with seating, floor-to-ceiling views and a spacious floorplan for small individual groups (up to 8)—will be available for public access only during rooftop hours of operation, on a first-come-first-served basis. Community cabins cannot be reserved in advance, and are only redeemable in person.
Encouraged for community use at 60-minute intervals, these cabins offer visitors a place to meet free-of-charge for enjoyment on The Rooftop, and should they choose to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages from home.
No food & beverage will be available for purchase onsite.

Note, cabins can host up to 10 total guests. If you made a reservation for less and now plan to bring more guests, this does not require a reservation update as long as your party stays under 10 total guests.

What is included within the $5-$50 reservation fee?
The reservation fee secures one cabin for a 90-minute booking.
**Kindly note, the reservation fee is a one-time, upfront charge and cannot be applied to your in-person dining bill. Additional costs will incur on-site based upon the food and beverages ordered during your cabin experience.**
What charity is receiving the donation portion of my cabin reservation fee?
As part of a continued initiative to support local community organizations this winter season each cabin will incur a reservation fee of which a $5 portion will be donated in support of multiple downtown philanthropic initiatives to be announced monthly.
For the month of March, $5 from each reservation fee will be donated to Vision Urbana, Inc. to support their efforts in providing home delivered pantry to elderly, in addition to virtual programs for homebound and isolated individuals living in the surrounding NYCHA development across the Lower East Side.
Food and beverages are available for purchase from The Greens seasonal menu once your seated in your cabin.

Can I bring my own food or drinks into my cabin?
No outside food or drinks are allowed in the reserved cabins at The Greens.
Does the menu have vegan options?
Yes, we offer multiple vegan friendly dishes, and few others are able to be made vegan upon request. See these marked dishes on our menu page.

When are The Greens open?
The Greens are open daily 12pm – 10pm on Mondays through Thursdays, and 11am – 10pm on Fridays through Sundays from November 2020 through March 2021. Note, each day’s last reservation is at 8:30pm and no new guests will be allowed to enter The Greens after 8:30pm.
Are children welcome?
Yes, all ages are welcome! Note, guests who are 2 years and older do count towards the cabin’s maximum 10 guest capacity.
May I bring strollers and/or baby chairs?
Yes, strollers and baby chairs are allowed. Pier 17 is not responsible for lost or stolen strollers and baby chairs.
Are The Greens and the Rooftop pet-friendly?
Only licensed and harnessed service-animals are permitted on The Rooftop at Pier 17 and at The Greens.
Can I bring my own blanket?
Yes, we welcome guests to bring their own blanket should you want to use it within your reserved cabin to relax and enjoy those rooftop views!
Are reservations required?
We strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. The Greens prioritizes keeping the amount of reservations at a safe and socially distant friendly number. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability until 9pm.
When will new or future dates become available to reserve online?
New cabin dates are released EVERY WEEK on Mondays around 10am EST. New dates are released in one week windows on the Monday one week prior to the desired new reservation week.
For example: Reservations within Mon 2/1/21 – Sun 2/7/21 will go live the morning of Mon 1/25/20 on pier17ny.com

The individual cabins at The Greens are heated and protect guests from the weather, but know access to the cabins is via The Rooftop at Pier 17 which is an outdoor venue, so dress/plan accordingly.
By chance there is extreme inclement weather that may affect operating hours, we will contact you directly and cancel your reservation for that day. We welcome you to book future dates based on availability.
If you do not hear from us on a poor weather day, then your reservation is on as planned.
The Greens operating hours are subject to change.
The Rooftop at Pier 17 is an outdoor venue and may need to close due to extreme inclement weather to ensure the safety of guests and staff. Should The Greens close, you will be notified in advance of reservation.
